Kesa M. Johnston

Kesa M. Johnston is the Founder and CEO of MOXIEpreneur. KMJ is a practicing attorney with twenty years of experience, fifteen as a small law firm owner. Kesa started her firm in 2009 with no prior business experience and very little funding but with the necessary grit and determination it takes to be successful.

Kesa spent her childhood in Alabama and Texas where she developed a passion to fight for fair representation and equal justice. That passion fueled her desire to become a lawyer and though she took a nontraditional route, the end result led her to decide that in order to accomplish her goals, she must own her own firm and design it in her unique way. 

It was through the process of developing her firm that Kesa realized the need to foster positive relationships with other legal professionals while changing systems to meet the needs of clients and staff as well as her own desire for a well designed life. MOXIEpreneur content and courses were developed to encourage new attorneys to launch their firm and to help existing solo and small female led firms create procedures and systems that help better their quality of life and those of their clients and staff.
